HOUSTON BASED ROMANTIC WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Hey, I'm Korie Hurst- the girl behind Hurst Photo. What started as a simple way to capture moments with friends and family quickly grew into a passion for storytelling through photography. Now, I get to spend my days documenting love stories, capturing the little details that pass us by in moments but mean everything when we look back on them.
My love for the outdoors and documenting my own adventures naturally evolved into a deep appreciation for the unscripted, genuine moments in life. This is what inspired my documentary-style approach to wedding photography. To me, a wedding isn’t just a series of posed shots but a beautiful collection of real moments—the laughter, the tears, the quiet glances, and everything in between. My goal is to tell your story as it unfolds, preserving the raw emotions and tiny details that make your day uniquely yours.

I believe in documenting the small moments, not just the grand ones. Some of the most meaningful images on a wedding day are the ones that pass by in an instant—the way your partner gazes at you with loving eyes as you walk down the aisle, getting ready with your closest friends, or that sneaky hug from grandma after you slip into your wedding dress. These are the moments that hold so much emotion, yet often go unnoticed until you look back and realize how truly special they are.
While the grand moments are important, it’s those in-between moments—the tear falling down your cheek during your vows, dancing until your feet ache—that I want to capture for you. Each wedding I photograph has deepened my appreciation for these fleeting memories. Every experience has shaped how I see the world, teaching me to recognize the beauty in the quiet, unassuming parts of life that are rich with meaning when we reflect on them.
If you resonate with my style of documentary photography then I think we might be the perfect fit.
